Michelton Bay Classic 2015
Sweltering temperatures in the high 30’s didn’t stop Caleb Ewan from outsprinting Greg Henderson in today’s Stage 1 Elite Men of the Mitchelton Bay Cycling Classic after the two riders almost lapped the field in the one-hour criterium. In the Elite Women’s 45-minute criterium Chloe Hosking won a five-way sprint from Lauren Kitchen, Lizzie Williams, Peta Mullens and Miranda Griffiths after the five women established a solid break on the chasing peloton. The Support race saw James Butler establish a break with Matthew Ross before both were caught by James Ross. Butler then smashed the the breakaway in the final laps to take the win.
